Carraig Rua Organic Bakery is an artisan bakery based in the west of Ireland, specialising in traditionally made organic breads and sweet bakes.
Our mission is to provide customers with high-quality, honest food made using premium organic ingredients, natural processes and time-honoured baking methods. We believe good bread takes time, from our 36–48 hour fermented sourdoughs to our hand-rolled croissants, all baked in small batches by hand. We use only premium organic flours and natural ingredients, with no preservatives, artificial flavourings or additives. One of our most popular products is our organic French sourdough, made with just flour, yeast, sea salt and water, using our own sourdough starter. Vegan friendly and naturally fermented, it reflects our belief that the best bread is simple, nourishing and made as it should be. Our team bakes overnight to ensure fresh morning deliveries to our restaurants and farm shops, and other customers in the locality. We also now supply customers nationwide through Green Earth Organics. This commitment to quality, craftsmanship and organic principles has made Carraig Rua a trusted bakery in the North West region.
