What an amazing, fantastic, challenging, eventful year we've just had! So, where to start! This year we have seen a great deal of firsts in the Organic sector- firsts that have been called for by many of you for years, but that have finally come into view.
l am delighted to be given the opportunity to be part of this team at such an important and exciting time for the Organic sector. During my career I have had the opportunity to interact and work with multiple industries and sectors across Ireland. In the past two years, as a result of Covid, I have seen first-hand how many of these sectors have been badly affected.
Who would have thought this time last year that we would be sitting here now with Covid 19 still such a factor in our lives. Things have definitely improved however with the ongoing effect of 'it' being something we all appear to be a bit more prepared for - although not withstanding the tough challenge that 'it' is.
Well 2020 - an eventful year, for some in the sector a time of great opportunity and others a tough challenge! Its fantastic to see the changes businesses have made to ride these turbulent times, and many will take these new habits forward into the future!
