  • Payments under the Organic Farming Scheme will be available to operators if the OFS re-opens for new applications later in 2016. The rules of the most recent OFS scheme launched in December 2015 are available by clicking on attached .pdf. We shall provide a link to the 2016/2017 scheme rules as soon as the scheme is re-opened for new entrants to organics. All OFS applications are on-line applications via www.agfood.ie – as the Organic Farming Scheme is not currently open for applications, no applications for payment under the scheme can be made at the present time.

Camphill Communities of Ireland - Camphill Community Grangebeg.

Camphill Grangebeg is both a farm and a residential care facility for people with disabilities which is certified by the Organic Trust Ltd.

Our aim is to create a therapeutic environment on the farm for our residents and we try to include everyone in the farm work as much as possible.  We are a mixed holding, incorporating a small herd of cattle, with small poultry and sheep flocks.  We grow our own cereals, oats undersown with a grass/clover ley and a combi crop of peas and barley.  We also include a field of potatoes in the rotation and make our own silage and hay.  Our aim is to make our holding as self-sufficient as possible and we have future plans to install a wind generator on our land.
